Proverbs 29:18 "Where there is no vision, the people perish..."

As the people of God, it is vital to have a vision, a common goal towards which every member of the body strives. Everyone must work together towards the goal of winning souls to Christ. It doesn't matter what neighborhood you come from, or how old you are, or the color of your skin- every member of the body is important and has a job to do. When others see us pulling together, we have a successful testimony of unity. But if one member is held up higher than the rest, or the body refuses to work together, our only testimony is one of confusion.  Mark 3:25 says "And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand." It is essential to look forward, towards the vision and what is possible. It is important to learn from mistakes, but solely focusing on the past will only discourage a saint of God. Let us strive towards a testimony of unity, "forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before" (Philippians 3:13).
