Putting Together Our Vision: This week, in class, we discussed possible goals for our vision statement, keeping in mind that they are attainable yet challenging. It was decided that our goals needed to have a balanced output as well as input, which means that as a class we need to have a substantial amount of support and encouragement coming in so that we are able to put out enough energy to reach our desirable goals as individuals and more importantly, a team.
Some ideas that we came up with are: greater participation, becoming a direct vessel for God's work, don't ignore the small things, supportive of common experience, and carrying a burden. By greater participation we can assume that when help is needed there won’t be the same person every time that is willing to help, if we all participate we can share the burden and more equally supply the help that is needed. Additionally, we discussed becoming a direct vessel for God's work will not only show others that we are not ashamed to do God's work but that it is the most important desire in our life.
Oftentimes we may go through trials that we feel like no one has ever had to face, and therefore wouldn’t be understood by the majority, however, chances are someone else has been in your similar situation. If we are able to communicate to others some encouragement and support through difficult situations we can help them not only through the trials but show them how God wants to help them as well.
Our common goal as a class is to reach a sense of togetherness, to be a light and an example to the world, draw closer to God through a common goal, and to win more souls to God by standing firm and understanding others situations.
