Security is not a "Silver Bullet" - it is secure practices that everyone follows PDF Print E-mail

Security is everyone's concern, because a lack of good practice by one, could open up the door for an attack against another. A hack on one website, or just one of your accounts on the web could breach the security on other accounts you have on the web.

As an example on a larger scale: one of the greatest concerns of our Government today is all the "unsecured" PCs owned by the public. Many of these PCs are already infected with trojan horse malware from all kinds: from thieves, to terrorist organizations to foreign governments (especially China). Potentially up to over a million PCs are like soldiers: waiting for orders from their malware owners to carry out attacks against other PCs, and business and government data centers.

Are you sure your machine is not one of these soldiers? The only way to be sure is to follow good security practices.
