Card skimming is where a very small and hardly noticeable device is attached to an ATM machine at a bank, or a pay at the pump at a gas station, or on the reader at the cash register. They are able to collect your account information via this "skimmer" and if you input your PIN number, there likely may be a camera near by to film you doing that.
