The Bible study class meets every Tuesday evening at 7 pm in the fellowship hall, and ends at 8 pm. The class is held in a manner to "engage" everyone into "digging" deeper into the Word for a greater understanding and fulfillment of the will of Jesus Christ in their lives. There are many areas of the spiritual life in Christ Jesus that are considered and studied. In addition to the emphasis of a greater burden and outreach for the lost, we consider many of the facets of life that are facing the class during this phase of their lives. The ages in the class range from the mid thirtys to up to 65. Many pressures and challenges of life are especially unique to this age group and these challenges impact our spiritual walk: - Raising children who are becoming teenagers and then going to college
- Elderly parents that need care or who will soon pass away
- Changing careers or jobs in an ever changing world
- Working through health problems that often come with age
- Griefs and setbacks and more...
The common theme is the need of a closer walk with Jesus Christ and the need for one another. We have been exhorted in the Word: "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:22-25
The class welcomes everyone to come and take part in the study. We also are regularly publishing the studies, discussions, and personal devotions and testimonies of the class via the class blog. So if your are too far away to attend, we invite you to subscribe to our class blog, either by email or with your preferred RSS reader - and you can send us your comments or questions to the class, or place a comment on one of the blog posts.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14
We are living in an age of almost total unbelief as far as the Bible is concerned. There is a lot of religion but it is not according to “thus saith the Lord”. In this scripture, there are just two gates. There is a narrow gate and there is a wide gate. There are not a multitude of gates. The narrow gate leads to where? It leads to Heaven. The wide gate leads to where? It leads to destruction and Hell. There are not a multitude of ways to get to Heaven. You have to go through one gate to get on the narrow way that leads to Heaven. |
